Our Top 10 Favorite Coffee + Brunch Spots in Traverse City, MI

Coffee and brunch are not only my favorite meal of the day, but also my favorite way to be social. We are lucky to have a great mix of diners, ethnic restaurants, and local coffee roasters to choose from!!

Mundos Roasting Co

Mundos is a local roasting company that highlights its craft coffee beans at multiple local coffee shops around the downtown area. The atmosphere is great for coffee with a friend or getting some remote work done. They also serve waffles loaded with delicious toppings and breakfast burritos

Favorite Food: Lemon Curd Waffles

Hexenbelle

Hexenbelle is a coffee shop serving Arabic comfort foods. One of only a few ethnic restaurants in Traverse City, Hexenbelle is usually a bustling spot, so get there early to snag a table!

Our Favorite Food: Breakfast Pita

Outpost

Outpost is a take on a French Boulangerie, serving breakfast items and fresh loaves from their partner location, The Mill Glen Arbor. Located on Front Street downtown, you can grab a drink and baguette while you shop

Drink to try: Macchiato

Favorite Food: Ham Butter Cornichon Baguette

NoBo Market

Nobo Market is a coffee shop (and soon-to-be restaurant) located inside Commongrounds, a mixed-use community center. Grab a cup of coffee and attend a performance at the Alluvion or check your email in the coworking space. They are proudly serving higher grounds coffee (another coffee shop found in The Commons) and light of day organic tea.

Higher Grounds

Higher Grounds always deserves an honorable mention as my favorite local coffee roaster. It is what we choose to drink at home as well as provide to all our Wander North guests! Take a minute to check out their website and read their mission, supporting the communities growing their beans.

Archie’s Social House

Archie’s is located directly below our Midtown Modern Condo. They serve brunch and dinner with a focus on local ingredients.

Favorite Food: Short Rib Benny

Red Spire Brunch House

Red Spire has the best location, tucked into the Mercato at the Grand Traverse Commons. It is my favorite place to go with a friend to grab breakfast, a mimosa, and then do some shopping. They also do pick-up if you are on the go!

Favorite Food: Apple Streusel French Toast

Favorite Drink: Paloma

S2S Sugar to Salt

Sugar to Salt is doing an upscale breakfast experience using local, seasonal ingredients. The food is an unexpected take on traditional breakfast foods and always beautifully plated

Favorite Food: Pancakes (and I promise these aren’t your standard pancake)

Smores crepe sprinkled with graham cracker, chocolate, marshmellow fluff, mini marshmellows, and powdered sugar. Latte in cup with homemade vanilla syrup.

Crepes & Co.

Crepes and Co TC is an authentic and low-key French eatery fixing up sweet & savory crêpes, plus sandwiches, coffee & specialty drinks. It is located at Middle Coast Brewing Co. located downtown!
